Great Clock The Great Clock is one of Thomas' most famous inventions. If you visit his house in Monticello, Virgina you will be able to see it for yourself. The Great Clock was invented in 1792. It rings every 4th hour and is a 7 day clock. It is powered by 2 cannon ball weights .They weigh 18 lbs each. The clock was not originally in Jefferson's house. It was in his 'Grey Ceary "House. The Great Clock has not been moved since it was permantly transported to Thomas Jefferson's house in 1804.

Revolving BookstandThe revolving bookstand was something Jefferson invented to organize his book since he loed to read. The Bookstand was originally thought to have been used to hold music sheets. It wasn't though. The stand held 5 different books at the same time. The Revolving Bookstand was never really popular.

Wheel CipherThe Wheel Cipher was used to decode messages sent to France. It consisted of26 wheels .One for wheel for each letter of the alphabet. The wheel cipher was said not to have been used after 1802. They're 2 different Wheel Ciphers, but neither one of them are exactly alike.
